Meet the Staff

Marcela

Marcela is new to the veterinary field but is enjoying it very much. She is attending Oxnard College and is thinking about becoming a veterinarian. She loves animals and helps the staff with the Spainish speaking clients.

Marcela lives in Oxnard with her parents, two brothers, and a cat and dog.

Michele

Michele was born and raised in Massachusetts, moved to Northern California in 2001 and to Ventura in 2009 where she lives with her three sons, four dogs, and four cats. Michele has been involved in the veterinary field since 1985 and can't imagine doing anything else.

When not working, she likes to spend time with her boys, visit Disneyland as often as possible, hike with her dogs and enjoy the beach. Michele is loving Southern California and all the people she has met.

There is a serious problem with pet overpopulation in Southern California. Shelters and rescue groups are overflowing with dogs and cats unable to find homes. The main reason for this crisis is too many puppies and kittens are being born. To be a part of the solution to this sad fact, spay and neuter your dogs and cats. Besides the many health benefits your pet will receive from the procedure, you will also have the satisfaction of knowing that you are not contributing to problem, but fixing it.

We are offering discounted spays and neuters for cats. The cost for a female cat is 90.00, (if in heat or pregnant, additional charges would apply), and the cost for a male cat is 60.00. A pre-surgical exam is included and needs to be scheduled prior to surgery. Call for an appointment today.

Don't forget about the mosquitoes. Mosquitoes can carry heartworm disease which if left untreated is fatal. Heartworm disease is on the rise in Ventura County. A once a year heartworm test along with, Heartgard, a monthly chewable medication can keep your dog free from this disease. Heartgard also offers the added protection of intestinal parasite control. Will treat and control both round worms and hook worms, both potentially harmful to humans.
